I finally took the plunge and started working on a design for the artwork for the Exidy MultiGame. I want to use the Chiller artwork as the foundation, incorporating elements of the artwork on other games.

I really suck at art and have no experience, so it is slowgoing working through the scans, cleaning them up and then vectoring the results. Fortunately, Gimp and Inkscape are relatively straightforward to use, requiring only patience and a steady hand. And, if all fails, I have the files for Cheyenne artwork.
I have Buster Badshot most of the way done -- need to fill in a hoof and part of a tail.

Well, we'll see how it turns out.

I don't think I have ever looked forward to any arcade-related project as much as I am looking forward to the upcoming Exidy 440 Multikit from Dave Widel and Mike Doyle. It will allow me play 10 more of the classic Exidy shooter games in the Cheyenne cabinet I picked up at Gerald's auction (thanks to Gerald for letting me get such a great machine at such an amazing price, B1BUG for lending me a strap to tie down the van door and to Weasel for telling me that the 440 project was going ahead).

Isn't that a beautiful cab ?
If only Kevin didn't have all of the bloody highscores.

Very cool attract graphics ... the lightning flashes.

We may need to deactivate Chiller ... it's not exactly G-rated.
My deposit has been sent and all I can do is wait ... and design some artwork ... and cap that monitor ... and make a new backdoor for the cabinet ... and refinish the cabinet ... ugh ... another ToDo list.
Guess I should get started.

After the collapse of the last blog software, I went back to basic HTML to post some pics and stuff.
I never, ever updated it.
So, now we're back and running a real blog engine again.
So far so good.
